In my time of need, you would like to think there are people out there who are compassionate. I called Dignifiedcaskets.com to inquire about purchasing a casket due to the death of a loved one. The first lie I was told is that somehow I got routed to the owner, Matt, and that he was the only one who can offer me the good pricing. The second lie I was told is that there were sales tax. Come to find out later that there is no sales tax. When I confronted Matt, he told me that I misunderstood. He also told me that the casket was from San Diego. Later I told me it was coming from Arizona. I thought Matt was from San Diego and found out that he was from Utah. Due to the emotional aspect of planning a funeral, I went ahead and gave Matt my credit card information at about 10:30 pm. About 15 minutes later at 10:45 pm, I called to cancel the order. Since he did not pick up, I left a message that I wanted the order cancelled. At 5 am on 6-29-12, he called to let me know that its too late. He told me that the casket was packed for shipment last night and is on its way to me. He said that I would have to pay 25% cancellation plus freight charges if I were to cancel. Now, I can't imagine how an order can be stocked and placed on a plane all in the middle of the night within 15 minutes of me placing the order. I feel like I was scammed. I should have listened to my instinct. Its sad that all Matt cares about is money. I feel like I was given one lie after another. I guess he just want the credit card info so he can charge and there is nothing I can do about it because of the so call 25% cancellation fee.

I called to complain to DignifiedCaskets.com about their lack of professionalism and customer service. Rather than even attempting to listen, the owner started to yell and become defensive. Basically he told me never to call back again and that he doesn't care that I was not happy with his service. I guess the 100% customer satisfaction guaranteed posted on the website is all a lie. Then again, he told so many lies so far he probably can't keep them straight. Do not use them! Learn from me.
