Triumph Forum (triumphrat.net) Edit

Triumphrat.net is an International forum which is ruled by the Administrators and Moderators like an English Monarchy or a joint dictatorship.

There're established AUP's which are completely ignored by both the Admin's and Moderators while expecting both paid and nonpaying members to adhere to. Two particular Administrators and four moderators require special mention when considering this unfair use policy.

The two Administrators are; Disco Stew and Wombat
The four Moderators are; Hi Desert, Saphena, Propforward and BombFactory

Wombat is rude, obnoxious, crass and a highly vindictive indivudual. He is a ex-patriot Australian who does not like Americans as a whole and has no problem tell them in public. He lives in Hawaii and runs the forum like a Nazi Commandant. On many occassions he has acted in a prejudicial manner towards members claiming they have violated the AUP's when he specifically states to them, "If you don't like the way I run the forum, the you can go elsewhere. In private messages, he outright slanderous and shows no flexibility towards members. He openly chastises members for the spiritual beliefs, disobeys the same AUP's he hired to uphold. Otherwise do as I say not as I do. He continually show favoritism towards members of the Australian and United Kingdom.

On many occassions he allows member of both nationalities to insult and personally attack American members. When those members report the threads and posts, his answers to them is; "Quit reporting violations of the AUP's and post of others." This is specific procedure which is by recommended for members of the forum.

The AUP's do not allow political discussions but they are permitted at the discretion of the Admin's and moderators as long as they meet their own specific requirements, whatever they are. They apply the AUP's selectively and only for those which they have a true dislike or hatred for. Although the AUP's do not allow the use of profanity, it is condoned and used by all the forum staff. If a member utilizes it, they will quickly be censored and then chastised in private messages.

This brings up the illegal use of government resources and blatant unethical actions by one of the moderators HiDesert (Phil). He is employed at Los Alamos National Lavatories in New Mexico, where he continues to use a government network to moderate for Triumphrat.net. He is being permitted to defraud both the US Government and the American Taxpayers while being employed by the DOE. This is a blatant violation of Federal Regulations governing both utilization and access of US Government networks. It is what's called a Compsec violation in US Government terminology and a high risk security violation. The system he is utilizing is a secure government network and the forum he moderates, is owned by a commercial Internet group call vetricalscope out of Canada. (domains@verticalscope.com)

All the participating moderators are in the top 10% of posters and participate multiple time daily. The top poster is a moderator. How can you moderate a forum if you are constantly a participant and separate yourself from the membership being fair and un bias when have to make AUP violation decisions against members. For a family touted forum which is observed by children and adults alike, they continually allow questionable discussions regarding sexual content, violence born discussions and questionable ethical behavior without the slightest moderation unless it suits them to personally.

They claim they are the #1 motorcycle forum on the Internet but are a gathering place for prejudice against religious, particular ethnic races and affiliations without regard to verbal decency and common morality shared by most. Which is not fostered by the moderators and Administrators.

All in all the site offers good information regarding Triumphs in general, but completely lacks in fairness towards it's members, moral decency, child safety and exposure to indecent content through the many discussion permitted.

I do not recommend it to either adults who are looking for commonalty, fairness and honesty. Nor for I recommend it to children left without adult supervision and it is then still questionable. The moral aspect of the forum is lacking in all context. Atheist beliefs, claims of pagan holidays, extreme left wing beliefs. This is not a site for spiritually minded Americans with a perspective of morality and continuity. This forum doesn't provide a friendly atmosphere of comradery for Americans. Nor does it foster a attitude or foundation of American beliefs.

This is a review formed from over several years direct participation and experience. I caution anyone that wishes to share in their passion for Triumph motorcycles to find another forum, in which to participate regularly.

I urge you not to provide them or be swayed to support the site with any monetary means. They offer intermediate and lifetime site memberships but provide little in return for your investment.

These concerns have been addressed specifically with the company and have not been resolved.

I've been part of the forum on and off for years. I put out a feeler listing in the classified section the other day...but failed to read the PAGE LONG list of rules for doing so. My mistake, no doubt....but this 'WOMBAT' idiot sent me a rude private message about it. I sent him a message back and told him 'OK, relax'...to which he responded with another rude private message. I messaged him back and basically told him to relax again & if this is such an irritating subject for him then he might want to let someone else handle it.....people are going to not reat things, it's part of life. Now, for some reason I can log on, but I can't access my personal messages....coincidence?.....I think not.

Yes, this guy is without a doubt an ignorant immature jackass. He's said and done things that make my jaw drop and i cannot for the life of me figure out why this imbecile is allowed to continue moderating there. I've run into uncountable idiots at many forums over the years, but this guy rules as the #1 worthless waste of breathing air. The rat forum is all in all a crappy commercial site that no longer has any real value thanks to the irrational moderators there, but this guy is even too frucked up for rat. Real piece of work.
