i think moviestar planet (msp) is a bit boring you need to be able to have more friends or get money and fame points more easly.

Moviestarplanet is aimed at 8-15 year olds and promotes itself as a great tool for learning your language in a fun environment. Yet the opening sequence has an avatar covered in blood with an axe in its head. Then it moves onto a avatar punching...... Thats just in the opening sequence. Once your in the game you can punch and kick other avatars and even buy guns to shoot other avatars. There are movie making competitions allowing you to earn coins to purchase clothes hairstyles and of course weapons. One competition was to make a movie themed around a murder!!
I strongly recommend that you keep your children as far away from this site as you can.

Once you get loads of friends and starcoins, it gets addictive! Then they ask you to buy more Starcoins which you have to do cause your addicted. It's fun but violent and keeps asking for your money and some over age users (18-19ish) are on it cursing and asking for passwords!!

I read what all of you people are saying about this game. I take it that it's really bad but interesting at the same time. I saw a commercial for this "moviestarplanet.com" and it looked really cool and funny. Where did I see this commercial? On Disney X.D.
This is how VMK (Virtual Magical Kingdom) got shut down; people we starting to say mean things and people were reporting other people for saying bad things. But the thing is, people were saying these things even when you had a limited chat vocab. I don't if moviestarplanet.com does; but if it doesn't, it's going to get shut down quicker than VMK (it take too long!).

So I signed up.i signed back in the next day.then i created another account so i bought a lot of stuff on there.then a week after i logged in but it was my old one.so i deleted that one but then when i tryed 2 log in with my other one and it wouldnt let me.I RECOMMEND:stardoll.it is a friendly sight and u get 2 b urself

I always try to become involved with whatever my granddaugter is doing on the computer a I found that entering her 'orbit' gives her more to share and talk about with me.
I was in for a rude awakening as I entered the Chat Room to try to make some Star Coins so she could buy things.
I kept changing between the different chat rooms hoping to find one that wouldn't be offensive!
I found the majority of chat in these rooms is NOT suitable for a child and involved insults, rude language, obsenities, and much talk about sex. In fact, I would say lots of the kids in there weren't there to make star coins. They merely stand there and argue or insult!

Quite surprising as I kept moving my person around trying to earn coins one of them must have got me mixed up with another and told me she was reporting ME for bad language!
Believe me, I did nothing to warrant that! In fact, I usually don't talk to anyone nor accept invitations to be friends, boyfriends, or whatever!

Could the attraction to this site possibly be the ability to talk in this manner and not be censored? My granddaugter is only 9 and I will do everything in my power to try to steer her away from this website.

well i think moviestarplanet is great and nothing actually HAPPENS. It's not as if they let u give out private information. If u say something bad it just comes out in stars anyway. plus does it say how to use weapons? no it doesn't. ppl who r against msp u should be ashamed. Do not what ever u do try and steer ur children, grandchildren or whatever away from this website. It's cute and i think its funny. I don't know what u think but i think its great and if ur worried just make an account and dont let ur child go near the person ur worried about. Thats my opinion.

Moviestar Planet is a nightmare. They entice young girls to dress like bimbos, and notice what happens when you change cloths. The avatar flashes briefly to an image of the girl in her panties and bra, then the new cloths appear on. The designers of this site are perverts.

Then when you go to look for help on you account, you will notice there is a major hacking problem there, where user passwords are not safe. The site addresses the issue by blaming the user for sharing their password, but I confirmed that someone was using my daughter's account and changing her cloths to slutty outfits. I controlled this experiment completely and I know this for a fact.

There are people in this world who want out kids to grow up faster than they should. MovieStar Planet is a playground for people with bad intentions. Stay clear.

I thought this was an innocent (like club penguin) type game. Didnt realise it had full on chat rooms where there are lots of mean and manipulative people. Every single forum has offending language on it (albeit letters changed to symbols here and there but everyone knows what they are trying to say). Every parent should look into this site properly. It is not innocent. If you look at all the other complaints you can see what I mean!!! It seems everyone has had their password hacked. My daughter had VIP status (she paid herself from xmas money). Somehow someone got into her account - stole all her stuff, changed the email from which the account was originally registered. No one at moviestarplanet has even acknowledged our contact requests - this is 2 days later and at least 5 different email contacts to safety department, billing and technical. STEER WELL CLEAR is my advice. There is obviously no security or people overlooking the site - simply inefficient automatic text filters.

My daughters MovieStarPlanet has been hacked on a number of occasions and all her virual possessions stolen. She has been reported and banned for 3 days on more than one occasion for requesting other peoples passwords which she has not. She has had nasty things said to her by other users. She is only 8 years old and she gets very upset when she is called a liar by Movie star support. I have complained each time and they have reinstated her account and retrieved her stolen items as they know she has not been responsible. She has paid to be a VIP a couple of times which is very expensive and she is currently saving up for another month. I wish she would use her money on something more worthwhile!

Stay clear! My child used to play at this site until we stumbled upon lewd content. The chat rooms are supposed to be kid safe but they are a nest for pedophilic people . They will hack your account and post links that are for pornography sites! It must be shut down! Stay away!

my daughter has had two VIP accounts hacked and deleted and lost everything through no fault of her own. The company do not care they take your money and ignore any complaints. The site is unsafe, unregulated and should be shut down.

Well, I am Rosalina Tennyson ( or was. -_-) on MSP (aka Moviestarplanet.com) And I didnt play for one week. When I tried to log in today....It wouldnt let me. I do not know anyone on the website now! I knew pumpchkin, joannapety,Green*.... and many other people! Now its some one called " ishacool " and other people that were never on ther before! No one will tell me what happened to everyone else on the game or anything! Im getting very mad because I bought coins,judge, almost everything on my charater! If this doesnt fix soon..... Im not going back to the website if it doesnt fix. The website owes me over 200$ if it doesnt fix soon!

My 8 year old daughter has been a fan of this website for some months but recently has been distressed by some comments made to her:

1) She was called very abusive names for not having sex with another user.
2) Another user got her to lie down(in animation and ) he lay on top of her
3) Has been asked if she would like to have sex at someone's house

I feel bad as I have not reseached this site until now - Definately not suitable for Children under the age of 14/15.

well im a user of msp and i think it is great im 12 and personally i think it should be limited to
11+ ya it does say bad language but it comes up as stars so no one can read it
i find it so addictive because of all the starcoins and games to play i dont accept any boyfriend requests im to smart for that i love my 2 boonies and im on it every day
personally speaking the forums should be shut down ther is dirty stories going on and there is kids asking ''what is a period'' which i think is wrong
